Thanks to Wakers for his "traditional" bus proposals, and to Hensley for his Camel Bus. They're both solid suggestions worthy of discussion. However, I feel we would be remiss were we to exclude the Catbus. Here is one some freakazoids made for Burning Man, which is probably best described as Sleekfest on Acid. (Next year's theme, Tanner?)
For those of you who didn't know, the Catbus above was inspired by the 1988 Hayao Miyazaki film "Tonari no Totoro," which loosely translates from the Japanese as "Burley is a muffin head."
A souped-up Catbus replica with sport suspension actually finished 11th in the 1994 Gibraltar rally won by the ABM/Gecas-sponsored Blomby Car team.

correct me if i'm wrong, but can't the actual car sponsored by ABM/Gecas and raced in the 1994 Gibraltar rally be seen at the VG Museum?

I'm not sure -- would like to learn more about this VG Museum you speak of, however. Do you have a link I could check out?

I like how the Catbus retains that tabby yet "hey, guys, I'm still a school bus" hue, plus a little muff for the special kids. What a find, Nach! I say we shoot the camel, knit some sweaters, skin the cat, lay down to pet her, buy some watermelons, to make her we..., and some vanilla vodka, and make vanilla vodka watermelons on the bus while listening to Coldplay and PM Dawn.

david, here is a link to the ABM/Gecas-sponsored car page we have been discussing. obviously there are no picture of the car in question, only newspaper clipping of the cars success. i would suggest an outing there in the near future to determine whether or not the car in question is or is not contained amongst the museums exhibits. as i hear the restaurant at the vg museum is wonderful, perhaps we could have a late morning brunch there some weekend, or perhaps even an entire meal of food.
